MARGE is a design-led fleet of solid beech wood Mars vehicles, rovers and illustrated comics, built for the museum shop, made to be kept.
MARGE stands for the Mars Agency for Research and Geographical Exploration, a small crew of explorers charting an imagined red planet. The line began as a Candylab Kickstarter and grew into a complete SPACE Collection: rovers with spring-loaded suspension, magnetic tankers and habitat transporters, and original comics that give every vehicle a reason to roll.
Each piece is solid beech wood, finished in non-toxic, water-based paints, and drawn in the modern-vintage style Candylab is known for. On the floor it reads as a toy. On a shelf it reads as a small design object, which is exactly why it belongs in a museum store.
Mars has moved from science fiction to the center of public attention. The same curiosity that fills your galleries is the curiosity MARGE was designed to send home with a visitor.
SpaceX has made the case for Mars as humanity's next home a mainstream conversation, reusable rockets, Starship test flights, and a stated goal of a self-sustaining city on the red planet. Families now arrive at your museum already imagining the trip. MARGE gives a child a fleet to imagine it with, and gives an adult an object that nods to that ambition.
NASA's Artemis program has returned the thrill of a crewed launch to living rooms, the Moon framed openly as the proving ground for the journey to Mars. Every Artemis milestone is a retail moment: a reason for a space exhibit, a planetarium night, a gift-shop endcap. MARGE is the merchandise that turns that excitement into a keepsake.
The gift shop is the last gallery. MARGE is curated to feel like part of the exhibit, not a rack of souvenirs.
Clean mid-century silhouettes and bold color blocking let a small endcap tell a Mars story, pair pieces with NASA-era imagery and let the display do the merchandising.
Children see open-ended, screen-free play. Design-conscious adults and aerospace professionals see a collectible object worth keeping on a desk. One product, two reasons to buy.
Solid beech wood and non-toxic, water-based paints support the educational, sustainability-minded story your institution already tells on the floor.
The series has been recognized in design press as a benchmark for elevated wooden toys, credible curation for buyers building shelves around objects worth keeping.
One case pack per SKU to open, tiered discounts as you scale, and Net-30 for verified cultural accounts. Start small around a current exhibit and grow what sells.
Inventory is on-hand and ships in 3–5 business days from our US warehouse, no production lead time to plan around a launch window or anniversary.
Each set launches a cast of distinct Mars vehicles, paper-puzzle roads and an original comic, connected by suspension axles and clever magnetic parts that dock, refuel and haul cargo across imagined terrain.
